Delphi & PowerPoint

I need a way to know inside a Delphi app the current slide of PowerPoint presentation.

2 options -
option 1 : open a PowerPoint presentation from Delphi app, display it inside PP, and receive all the time to the Delphi app the current slide of the PP

option 2 : display the presentation inside the Delphi app and receive the current slide of PP

Please let me know which option are you bidding of, time, and cost.
