Delphi - Fix a bug: TCheckBox descendent canvas flashes white after mouse move

Attached is a TCheckBox descendant that implements autosize property to the normal TCheckBox. It works just fine, however, if a form contains multiple instances of this control and the VCL Styles are used, moving the mouse cursor over these controls causes the control's canvas to sometimes flash white. A screen recording GIF is attached. This is in Delphi 11 and I can reproduce the issue at will.
