Cognex Vision Support, Automotive

I need an experienced vision engineer on site for roughly two months to push our Cognex-based inspection lines to the next level.

Our plant runs a mix of In-Sight 2D and 3D cameras as well as a PC-based deep learning system; your main focus will be that deep learning platform. Day-to-day work happens right on the automotive production floor, analysing false rejects, refining tool chains, and rolling out new cells.

The 2D stations also need attention, so alongside the learning project I expect these clear outcomes:
• System optimisation – tighter cycle times and higher classification accuracy
• New implementations – configure and deploy at least two additional cameras on the trim line
• Troubleshooting – permanent fixes for the intermittent trigger and lighting issues

Everything has to stay inside the Cognex stack (Designer, ViDi Suite).

I provide full access to existing job files, sample parts, and a dedicated workstation. Standard access is Monday–Friday, with weekend sessions possible when production allows.
