4G/5G Router QA & Support
Budget: €5,000 – €10,000 EUR
During the next 6–9 months we’ll be working with a Chinese OEM that is adding several key capabilities to its new 4G/5G router line: higher data-throughput paths, richer network-management options, and extra data interfaces such as serial ports and general-purpose I/O. All new code must interoperate with the OEM’s own proprietary protocols, so every build needs to be exercised against their closed, in-house stacks.
Our immediate need is rigorous quality-assurance and debugging support throughout the development cycle. Your job is to design and run repeatable tests and make sure we meet customer's objective, and feed concise feedback and bug reports to the factory team. Expect iterative rounds of validation on both bench setups and pre-production hardware.
Once the firmware reaches release status, the routers roll straight into a large deployment running to several hundred units. At that stage we’ll call on you ad-hoc for technical support—log analysis, patch verification, or configuration guidance—whenever the end customer raises a ticket.
Key deliverables
• Test plans aligned with each new feature
• Final acceptance report confirming enhanced throughput, network-management tools, and added interfaces work to spec
• On-demand post-deployment support responses, typically within 24 h of a request
Toolchain familiarity with common network analyzers, serial-port, I/O ports, Linux build environments, and 4G/5G routers; any additional utilities you favour are welcome as long as results remain reproducible. If you have deep experience squeezing every packet of performance out of cellular modems and enjoy chasing elusive edge-case bugs, this collaboration should be a good fit.
