Resolve Shopify Button State Issue
Budget: $70 – $80 AUD
Fix Shopify product page button glitch (Sold Out → Coming Soon)
need a Shopify developer to fix a small but annoying glitch on my product page.
Problem:
When loading certain products, the Add to Cart button briefly shows “Sold Out” before changing to “Coming Soon” (handled by a preorder app). This looks unprofessional and confusing.
Goal:
Make the button render as “Coming Soon” immediately on page load (server-side via Liquid), not after JavaScript loads.
What needs to be done
• Theme: Obsidian (Shopify)
• Apps involved: SendWILL / Preorder app
• Locate where the button text is rendered in:
• main-product.liquid (and any sticky cart / quick view snippets if needed)
• Replace the default sold out text with conditional logic based on a product tag (e.g. coming-soon)
• Ensure:
• No flashing “Sold Out”
• Button shows correct text on load
• No impact on in-stock products
This is a small debugging task (1–2 hours max) for someone experienced with Shopify Liquid.
