Fix Local Node.js Syntax Error

Job ID: 39717398

Budget: £5 – £10 GBP

My small Node.js site used to launch locally without a hitch, but now I’m greeted by a Syntax error the moment I try to start it. I’m unsure whether the issue stems from a recent edit or an unnoticed dependency change—nothing obvious stands out to me.

I need someone to jump in, locate the offending code, and get the project running again on my machine. You can expect full access to the repo (package.json, any Express routes, views, etc.) as well as the exact console output I’m seeing. Once the fix is applied, I’d like a quick walk-through of what went wrong so I can avoid the same snag next time.

Deliverables:
• Clean, booting project with no Syntax error
• Brief summary of the fix and any commands I should rerun (npm install, node version tweaks, linting adjustments, and so on)

If you’re comfortable troubleshooting local Node.js setups and tracking down elusive syntax issues, let’s get this resolved.
