Expert Hardware Design and Debugging Engineer
Budget: ₹30,000 – ₹55,000 INR
Location: New Delhi
Employment Type: Full-Time (On site)
Department: R&D / Hardware Engineering
Compensation: ₹4.30 LPA – ₹6.45LPA
About Us
We are an early-stage R&D startup developing safety-critical electronic systems and equipment for India's power, railway, and industrial infrastructure. We are a lean, high-ownership team where engineers directly shape products, processes, and the company's technical direction. Our systems are designed to operate reliably in the harshest environments and under the strictest regulatory scrutiny.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer with strong expertise in core hardware technologies to lead hardware development. The candidate must be skilled in PCB design and have a solid understanding of hardware systems, testing methods, and PCB debugging. They should be able to work closely with design teams to build reliable, high-quality products. Our focus is on railway and industrial automation solutions, where precision, durability, and compliance with industry standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Schematic Creation in Altium
Layout Designing min 4 layers or 6 layers
Hardware Testing & Debugging
Conduct debugging and root-cause analysis of hardware issues.
Ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards for railway and industrial automation products.
Collaboration with PCB Designers
Assist designers with schematic reviews and layout considerations.
Provide technical input to ensure designs meet functional and environmental requirements.
Bridge the gap between design and implementation by understanding product requirements.
Hardware Leadership
Lead the hardware development process, ensuring alignment with product goals.
Understand the end-to-end product architecture to guide hardware decisions.
Work cross-functionally with design, software, and manufacturing teams.
Documentation & Standards
Prepare and maintain hardware test plans, reports, and documentation.
Ensure adherence to industry standards (railway safety norms, industrial automation protocols).
Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree or Diploma Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of core hardware technologies (digital, analog, power electronics).
Hands-on experience with PCB/system testing and debugging.
Familiarity with schematic and layout design principles.
Experience in railway systems or industrial automation preferred.
Ability to lead hardware development while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Skills
Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
Understanding of EMI/EMC considerations in industrial environments.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
This role is designed for someone who can own the hardware side of product development without being a full-time designer, but with enough technical depth to guide and validate the work.

What Makes This Role Different
This is not a role defined by narrow domain boundaries. We are looking for an engineer whose instinct is to build it right the first time — because the systems we make go into infrastructure where reliability is life-critical. You will have the freedom and responsibility to define how hardware engineering is done at this company, not just inherit someone else's process.
