Debug PHP Reload Failure

Job ID: 40136323

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

My site has a single PHP page that behaves oddly: it loads fine the first time, but if a visitor clicks one specific internal link that points back to the same script, the page hangs on the second load—no HTML, no blank screen, simply nothing. There is no 404 or 500; the browser waits indefinitely and eventually times out, so I have no visible error message to guide me.

I need your help to trace and resolve whatever is preventing the script from returning a response on that second request. You are free to inspect the codebase, reproduce the issue locally, and add any temporary logging or profiling you find useful—error_reporting, Xdebug, var_dump, or even Laravel Telescope–style tracing if that speeds things up. Once you’ve identified the root cause, please adjust the code (or server configuration) so the page loads reliably every time the link is clicked, refreshes included.

Deliverables:
• Clean, commented fix applied to the PHP file(s) or .htaccess/Nginx config.
• Brief summary of the fault and the steps you took to resolve it, so I can learn from the process.
• Confirmation that repeated clicks or manual refreshes no longer break the page.

I can provide the current PHP file, any related assets, and SSH or cPanel access as soon as we start. Looking forward to finally crossing this lingering bug off my list.
