Debian Server & Panel Upgrade
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
My OVH virtual server is still on Debian 9 running PHP 5 under the Vesta control panel. I’m ready to move everything to Debian 13 with PHP 8 and replace Vesta with Hestia, while keeping Apache as the web server.
All live sites, MySQL databases, and email accounts have to come across intact; the existing web-server, database, and mail settings must feel identical to the users once the switch is done. I have full backups but would prefer a direct in-place upgrade or a staged migration that minimises downtime. To the best of my knowledge there are no custom scripts or exotic tweaks, yet I’d like you to double-check for anything that could break during the version jump.
Deliverables
• Debian 13 system with PHP 8, Apache, and Hestia fully configured
• Restored websites, databases, and email with original permissions and paths
• Verification that web, database, and mail services start automatically after reboot
• A short hand-over document outlining the key changes and any new credentials
I’ll give you SSH and panel access as soon as we agree on a schedule. Let me know if you prefer an in-place upgrade or a clean server build with migration, your estimated downtime window, and any other details you need before we start.
