DataTable(jQuery Datatable) feature updates help

I have a simple jquery datatable that is loading table (suppose from a database, say Oracle). I am using DataTables(jQuery plug-in) to display it in a better way. The datatable consists of 2 columns one regular text and another one having a toggle button. I have 2 buttons -- edit, add, and a filtering tab section(tabs as all,active,inactive). I want a few feature updates as follows:
when clicked on edit it will show 2 more buttons in place of edit [cancel changes, save changes]. cancel changes button will undo all the changes made on the datatable toggle column. save changes button will update the changes on the database.
when clicked on add button it will open a modal which will contain 2 fields [text and toggle of yes/no], close and save buttons. if fields are filled in and saved update the datatable and database as well. if closed button is clicked, cancel the modal.
filter the table based on the toggles[yes/no] state as "all", "active" [displayed as yes] , "inactive" [displayed as no]
