Subscription-Based Hobby Collecting Database Website

Job ID: 38170465

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I'm looking to create a subscription-based hobby collecting database. This database will be used for maintaining a master data set of records, which currently holds over 160,000 items. Here's what I'm looking for:

- Search Functionality: The website should have a robust search feature to help users find specific items efficiently.
- User Registration and Login: The site should allow users to create accounts and log in, to track their activities and collections.
- Collection Management: Users should be able to manage their collections, add or remove items, and organize them in a user-friendly interface.

The types of items that will be included in this database are quite diverse, ranging from action figures, comic books, coins, pencils, toasters, lamps, and more. The main goal is to provide a comprehensive platform for collectors of various items to manage their collections.

For the tagging feature, I envision a system where users can:

- Add Tags Manually: Users should have the option to manually tag items to further categorize them.
- Auto-Tag Items Based on Category: The system should automatically assign tags to items based on their categories, making organization easier.
- Allow Users to Create Custom Tags: Users should be able to create and assign custom tags to items, giving them flexibility in how they organize and search their collections.

100% of the requested functionality needed is already developed in a Windows application ay StarWarsDatabase.com and it needs to be redeveloped into a responsive design website.

The ideal freelancer for this project should have experience in developing subscription-based websites, creating databases, and implementing search and tagging features. A good understanding of the needs of collectors and the ability to create a user-friendly interface will be greatly appreciated.
