I need some help in cleaning the data. This project is to write a Stata code that creates a variable in an unbalanced panel dataset.
This has to be done in Stata do file.
The new variable provides the difference between the date of the actual event and the respondent’s 45th birthday in months. This variable represents the number of months before or after the 45th birthday.
For example: if a person turns 45 in November of 2010. The new variable will have 0 in November, 1 in Demeber, 2 in January of the following year, 3 in Feb, etc... It will also have -1 in October, -2 in September....
The data includes the birthdate in months and years and the event date in months and years.
