Senior Laravel Maintenance & DB Expert
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I run an established Laravel application that now needs dedicated maintenance centred on database management. The codebase is stable in production, yet underlying issues have begun to surface: data-related bugs, sluggish queries under load, and a few security patches still pending.
Your task is to dive into the existing repository, diagnose the root causes, and leave the database layer clean, fast, and secure. Day-to-day you will:
• Fix any outstanding bugs that affect data integrity or produce incorrect results.
• Optimise query performance, indexing, and caching so heavy reports return quickly and the API stays responsive.
• Apply and test the latest security updates, sanitising inputs, removing vulnerable packages, and ensuring migrations are safe to run in staging and production.
We work with Git, pull-request reviews, Laravel’s Eloquent ORM, and a MySQL backend. All work must be CI-ready and come with clear commit messages; automated tests for critical paths are a plus.
Acceptance criteria
• All identified bugs reproducible in the ticket list are closed and verified.
• Average query time on key endpoints reduced noticeably and documented in a short before/after report.
• No failed audits in Laravel’s built-in security checks or in the external scanner we run before go-live.
If seasoned experience with Laravel’s database tools, query optimisation, and secure coding practices is your forte, this maintenance cycle should feel straightforward and rewarding.
