SQL Server 2012-2019 Migration
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I need to upgrade my production environment from Microsoft SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2019 and carry every database, login, SQL Agent job, linked server, and permission over without breaking the applications that depend on them. A clean install or an in-place move is fine as long as the new 2019 instance ends up fully patched, properly configured, and documented.
The work includes planning the cut-over, scripting or automating the transfer, running integrity checks (DBCC, CHECKDB), and verifying that the apps connect and perform at least as well as they do today. I can arrange a short outage window but would like to keep it as small as practical, with a tested rollback plan ready just in case.
Deliverables
• Production-ready SQL Server 2019 instance with identical objects, data, and security
• Validation report covering integrity checks, performance baselines, and application connectivity
• Clearly written migration & rollback procedures so I can repeat or audit the process later
