Rename WordPress Theme Folder

I need help safely renaming the main folder of my custom WordPress theme and making sure every related path updates correctly so nothing breaks.

Current setup
• The site sits in a staging environment, so we can work without affecting visitors.
• I have full access to the hosting panel, SFTP, phpMyAdmin, and WP-CLI.

What I’m looking for
1. Rename the theme’s folder to the new name I’ll provide.
2. Update all theme-dependent paths—functions, enqueued assets, template references, and any hard-coded links.
3. Run a search/replace (WP-CLI or similar) to catch database-stored paths, then flush caches/permalinks so the site loads cleanly.
4. Quick smoke test across the front-end and WP admin to confirm nothing is missing and that styles/scripts load as expected.
5. Provide a short note outlining what you changed so I can replicate the steps on production later.

This is a straightforward task, but I want someone who knows WordPress internals well enough to avoid white screens or missing assets. If you’ve handled similar renames before, let me know—especially if you’re comfortable using WP-CLI or search-replace tools.
