Music Database Revamp & Optimization
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I run a music-focused site and I’m ready to give the database—and the surrounding user experience—a proper tune-up.
First, the data itself. I need fresh, accurate Artist information and Album details added, together with the number of certifications each release holds, cross-referenced directly against the RIAA listings at www.riaa.com. Your update process should be repeatable so I can continue adding new releases without wrestling with manual workarounds.
Second, presentation. The current interface feels dated; I want a cleaner, more intuitive layout that draws visitors in and lets them explore the catalogue effortlessly. Think streamlined navigation, logical grouping of records, and a database view that actually looks inviting.
Finally, performance and admin flow. Search must feel instantaneous, pages should load briskly even under heavy traffic, and the underlying database management needs to be straightforward—ideally a back-office panel or script that lets me import new rows in minutes instead of hours.
If you’re comfortable wrangling music metadata, integrating RIAA certification counts, refining SQL queries, and polishing a front end so it feels modern and snappy, I’d love to hear how you’d approach it and what tools you’d lean on.
