Grocery Order Portal Development

Job ID: 40162012

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

I need a web-based portal that lets my retail clients log in, browse the grocery items available to them, and submit an order that captures product list, quantities, and a preferred delivery date—no payment collection is required.

Access & personalisation
Account creation and login are mandatory. After authentication, each customer should only see the products, categories, search options, or pre-made bundles that I have assigned to their profile. For example, some customers may browse via product categories such as fruit or dairy, while others might get a fast search bar or curated bundles; the rules for who sees what must be controllable from an admin dashboard.

Ordering flow
1. Authenticated customer chooses items through the tailored selection interface.
2. They confirm quantities and a single delivery date.
3. The system records the order and instantly emails both the customer and my internal team a summary.
No payment gateway, pricing calculations, or inventory reservation is needed at this stage.

Admin tools
I want an easy way to:
• create or edit customer accounts
• assign visibility rules for categories, search, or bundles
• view, filter, and export orders (CSV / Excel) for fulfilment

Tech & launch
Feel free to recommend the stack—PHP/Laravel, Node, or a lightweight framework—so long as it is secure and allows future expansion. Mobile-friendly design is a must. Once the build is complete, please deploy it to my chosen hosting account and provide basic documentation for managing customers and products.

Acceptance criteria
• Mandatory login with role-based catalogue visibility
• Item selection, quantity input, and delivery-date picker
• Order confirmation screen plus email copy to both parties
• Admin panel covering customer, product, and order management
• Responsive UI, tested across modern browsers and mobile

If you have experience in similar B2B ordering portals, send a brief outline of your approach and a timeline for delivery.
