Fix Ngrok SQL Tunnel Issue

Job ID: 40508447

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

My SQL client reaches the database through an ngrok tunnel on a Windows host. The tunnel reports a successful connection, yet the moment the client tries to talk to the server it comes back with an “access denied” message and drops.

I selected “sql service” as the server type because ngrok is sitting in front of the actual SQL service; the database itself is on Windows and exposed on the usual port. I need someone who knows ngrok’s authtoken setup, TCP tunnels, SQL authentication and Windows-side firewall or MSSQL configuration well enough to spot what I have missed and get the handshake to complete.

What I expect from you:
• A screenshare or step-by-step set of checks to isolate whether the block is inside ngrok, the SQL login, or Windows networking.
• Clear explanation of the fix you apply so I can reproduce it in staging and production.
• Confirmation that the client connects without the “access denied” error once we are done.

If you are comfortable with ngrok tunnels, SQL authentication and Windows networking, let’s sort this out today.
