Diagnose Lightsail WordPress CPU Spikes
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
My WordPress site runs on an AWS Lightsail instance and, without warning, the CPU shoots into the burstable zone and stays pegged there. No obvious traffic surge, cron job, or visitor action triggers it—CloudWatch simply shows random spikes.
The only recent change on the site is a second API/AJAX call that fires on the homepage, so that is a prime suspect, but I need a deeper look at everything from plugins to database queries and server-level tuning.
I will give you SSH and WP-Admin access. Please come prepared to profile the stack (top/htop, WP-CLI, Query Monitor, New Relic or your preferred profiler), inspect the new AJAX routine, and tune Lightsail settings if needed.
Deliverables
• Root-cause report explaining what drives the CPU spikes
• Implemented fix or optimisation (code, plugin settings, or server tweaks)
• Post-fix validation showing normalised CPU usage for at least one hour of monitoring
A clear, concise hand-off note detailing changes you made will complete the job.
