I’m looking for a secure, scalable e-commerce site built from the ground up rather than on a hosted platform such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento. The goal is to give both buyers and sellers a smooth experience while keeping full control over the codebase, design, and future growth of the site.

Core requirements
• A clean product catalog where sellers can upload detailed listings with multiple pictures.
• A shopping cart and checkout flow that handles discounts, taxes, and shipping rules reliably.
• Customer reviews shown on each product page to build trust.
• Secure payment integration (credit/debit cards and popular wallets) processed over HTTPS with PCI-compliant gateways.
• User roles with separate subscription plans: one tier for sellers who list items and another for buyers who want member-only deals.
• Responsive design that works flawlessly on mobile and desktop.

Additional features:
• Advanced search and filtering options for users to easily find products or listings.
• A messaging system for buyers and sellers to communicate securely within the platform.

I expect well-structured, documented code (preferably in a mainstream stack such as React/Next.js with a Node or PHP backend, but I’m open to your recommendation), a staging server for testing, and deployment to my production host when we sign-off.
