I have a collection of PDF and Excel files that need to be consolidated into an existing Microsoft Access database. The material includes both text and numerical fields, roughly 1,000 – 10,000 records in total. Because this data will feed reporting and forecasting tools, I’m placing a premium on absolute accuracy, thorough cleaning, and solid error-checking rather than sheer speed; there’s no fixed deadline, so you’ll have the breathing room to do the job correctly the first time.
The work involves:
• Transcribing and importing every field from the source documents into the correct Access tables.
• Running validation rules, de-duplication checks, and formatting fixes so entries adhere to existing table constraints.
• Flagging and resolving anomalies, then documenting any assumptions or corrections in a brief audit log.
• Delivering the updated .accdb file along with the log and a short summary of issues found and resolved.
