Access Quotation Generator App
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I have a small Microsoft Access table of prices—roughly 250 records—that I want turned into a streamlined quoting tool for our sales team. From a single, well-designed form the user should be able to pull up a product by item name, part number or any other relevant field, key in the required quantity, and watch the quote build itself line-by-line with subtotals and a running grand total.
When the sales rep is ready, the application must produce a polished document in both Word and PDF, laid out in a modern, sleek style. Each quote should automatically drop in our company logo, address block and a fixed footer, while still leaving room for free-format notes that the rep can edit on the fly.
To keep everything on-brand I’d like the on-screen form to echo the same clean look the customer sees on the final document.
Acceptance criteria
• Search returns correct record(s) instantly by item name or part number
• Quantities multiply against unit prices accurately; totals calculate without rounding errors
• One-click export to .docx and .pdf with all branding elements in place
• Editable notes field saved inside each quote file
• Source file (Access, VBA, or chosen tech) and any supporting scripts delivered, fully documented
Once finished the tool will let every salesperson generate and email standardized quotations instead of piecing together individual documents.
