Windows Access CRM Mini App
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a lightweight Customer Relationship Management tool that opens as a Microsoft Access application on Windows. The database must stay fully editable (no password-locking) so I can tweak tables or queries later, yet behave like a small “app” with user-friendly startup, navigation forms, and report buttons.
Core structure
• 3–4 relational tables covering people, companies, interactions, and tasks
• Consistent primary/foreign keys so I can extend the schema myself
Essential functionality
• Fast lookup—users must be able to search people, companies, or free-text keywords from a single search box and land on the matching record or filtered list instantly
• Add / edit forms for each entity with basic validation
• 4–5 printable reports triggered from the main switchboard (e.g., customer summary, recent activity, upcoming follow-ups—final list to be agreed once you see the detailed brief)
• Simple ribbon or dashboard that loads on open, hiding the navigation pane for a cleaner feel
Acceptance criteria
1. Delivered as an .accdb plus an .accde compiled file.
2. No VBA security locks; code and objects must remain viewable in the .accdb.
3. Lookup, add, edit, and report features tested on Access for Microsoft 365 (Windows).
4. Clear comments in any VBA modules or macros so I can maintain them.
Once assigned I’ll share sample data and a fuller outline, but if you’re comfortable building Access front-ends with search logic and formatted reports, this should be a straightforward project.
