OBS Overlays & Driver Database Program
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a custom-built application that pairs a lightweight database with dynamic overlays for an esports broadcast in OBS Studio. The core of the project is a reliable system that lets me enter and update driver information—name, country, team, wheel type, and a profile image—and then pushes that data to on-screen graphics in real time.
Database
I’m not yet certain whether SQL or NoSQL is the better fit, so I’d like your guidance on choosing and setting up the option that will offer fast look-ups and be easy for me to maintain later.
Overlay Functionality
The overlays must pull live records from the database and render clean graphics in OBS. Typical use cases include:
• Single-driver panels (photo, flag, team, wheel)
• Side-by-side driver comparison
• Rotating roster ticker
Quality Notes
• Smooth performance on a 1080p, 60 fps stream.
• Simple admin panel or CSV import to add/edit drivers.
• Clear instructions for integrating the finished overlays into OBS (Windows).
Deliverables
1. Full source code for the database layer and overlay logic.
2. Graphic assets and layout files ready to drop into OBS Studio.
3. Setup documentation so I can deploy or edit data without needing to touch the code.
If you have prior experience building data-driven overlays or working inside OBS’s browser/source ecosystem, please highlight it when you respond.
