Local history time machine
Budget: £10 – £15 GBP
I have several years’ worth of historical records scattered across multiple files and sources, and I need them brought together inside a single, intuitive piece of software. Once everything is collated I want to be able to locate any record quickly through a clean, searchable database interface—no complicated menus or steep learning curve, just fast, accurate results.
What the finished solution should let me do:
• Import my existing historical datasets in their current formats.
• Search, filter, and retrieve entries instantly by any relevant field.
• Add or edit records without risking the underlying data integrity.
• Export subsets of data when needed.
A lightweight desktop app or a modern web-based tool is fine as long as it feels responsive and secure. If you already have experience turning raw Excel/CSV archives or legacy exports into streamlined database applications, that is exactly the expertise I need.
For acceptance I will load a sample of my historical data, run several search queries, and confirm that all imported fields are preserved and accurately returned.
