IoT Data Analysis with Grafana & InfluxDB

Job ID: 38561153

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 AUD

I'm seeking an expert in setting up and configuring both Grafana and InfluxDB for the purpose of analyzing IoT data. Initially, the analysis will be based on readings directly from an API.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience with Grafana and InfluxDB
- Strong understanding of IoT data
- Proficient in setting up and configuring software
- Experience in data analysis

I've got a project I'm trying to complete using grafana and influxdb. I've got the majority of the framework and a test implementation worked out, now I'm looking for someone to refine it out to a commercial standard.

The main output I'm looking for is a influxdb database that is linked to grafana. I should be able to configure the dashboards, the main thing I need is development of the auto-updating database.

The database will be updated hourly initially, with potential to be upgraded to ~1min updates down the track.

Scope of work:
1. Create webform to upload "unit" details to an influx bucket [Unit Detail Bucket]. Each unit will have about 20 tags. (Ideally, once a unit has been added, it would be possible to edit its tags down the track)
* I've done the basic python code structure to upload the data, the main action item would be to create the webform to retrieve the data and pass this to the python code.

2 For each unit, poll an API hourly for 5-10 datapoints using data in the . We currently have about 15 units. Initial design (database size potential/polling capacity) should accommodate for up to 200.
* I have done the python code to retrieve the datapoints from the API, the main action item here is to wrap this code in a telegraf agent to poll the data automatically.
- The python code (also done) will also perform some downsampling (to hourly) and calculation on the retrieved data using constant values from the "Unit Details Bucket", and then upload the calculated data to a new influxdb bucket (Unit Data)

3. Link the influxdb to a grafana instance. I have done some grafana configuration on my test server which would need to be replicated. Its mainly setting up global variables related to fields to allow aggregation.

4. Ideally we would be able to generate reports using the metrics from the dashboard, including some additional text and logos.

I've done a lot of work with another company that didn't have the right experience so I have alot of scoping documents and python code section etc. to support in this develpoment.

Please let me know if you are interested or if you have any further questions.

Hope to hear back from you,
Best Regards,
Jethro
