Build E-Commerce Database System

I need an experienced database developer to architect and implement the data layer for a new e-commerce platform. The core requirement is rock-solid handling of transactions while giving me real-time inventory management and detailed user activity tracking so I can keep stock levels accurate and analyze how shoppers move through the store.

I’m open to either a relational SQL setup or a scalable NoSQL alternative; what matters is clear reasoning behind the choice, high performance under load, and clean, well-documented structures that my front-end and analytics tools can consume easily. Security, indexing, and backup strategies should be baked in from day one.
