MS Access Report Development
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I have a Microsoft Access database that powers a personal hobby project. An ex-colleague already set up a handful of reports, and they work well, so I’d like to expand on that success. I’ve drafted a clear spec for each new report, mapping out the exact data fields you’ll need, and I’m looking to add well over five additional reports in total.
Scope
• Each report is a detailed analysis report rather than a simple summary.
• Layout can stay in a standard, tabular format—nothing fancy, just clean and consistent with the existing look.
• You’ll have direct access to the current .mdb / .accdb file, the existing report objects, and any underlying queries, so you can keep style and structure aligned.
• I’m flexible on approach; whether you build new queries in SQL, reuse existing ones, or incorporate a bit of VBA for calculated fields, I’m happy so long as the final output matches the specs and runs quickly inside Access.
Deliverables
• The new report objects saved into the database.
• Any new or modified queries required to power them.
• Brief, inline documentation or comments so I can tweak things later if needed.
I’m not sure how much effort this will take, so please outline the estimated hours or milestones you foresee when you reply. If you spot ways to streamline the design or think a different layout would add clarity, feel free to suggest it—otherwise, sticking to the standard table view is perfectly fine.
