Revamp of Cryptocurrency Learning System
Budget: £3,000 – £5,000 GBP
I have inherited an older learning management system that teaches cryptocurrency and blockchain-related education.
The platform already exists and has users, courses, lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, certificates, admin features and some access/payment logic. It works, but it is dated, messy and difficult to maintain.
There is very little documentation. The database is not clear in places, some parts have been added over time by different developers, and I am not confident that simply patching it again is the right decision.
I am looking for someone technical who can review the current system and help me decide the best route forward.
This may be:
* upgrading parts of the existing system
* rebuilding the backend
* creating a cleaner API layer
* redesigning parts of the database
* migrating the data into a cleaner version
* or recommending a phased approach
I am not looking for someone to guess a full rebuild cost without reviewing the system properly first.
## What I Need
I need someone to review the database/system structure and provide a practical recommendation.
The discovery/specification should cover:
* current system/database review
* key technical risks
* areas that are messy or unclear
* suggested future database structure
* suggested API/backend approach
* migration considerations
* what should be upgraded vs rebuilt
* risks around users, courses, progress, certificates and payments/access
* estimated phases for the next stage
* realistic quote or quote range for the build/rebuild work
I also have access to a tool which seems like it may help speed up part of the rebuild. I am not technical enough to judge whether it is the right fit, so I would like your view on whether this could help, or whether there is a better approach.
I am open to using it if it reduces time, risk and cost, but I am also open to a different technical recommendation.
