Migrate MySQL Database (344 Tables) to Laravel ORM with ETL Implementation

We are looking for an experienced Laravel developer with strong ETL and database migration expertise to assist with a critical data restructuring project.

You will be tasked with analyzing a MySQL database with ~344 tables and converting it into a clean, maintainable Laravel ORM (Eloquent) structure. The project requires a strong understanding of relational models, Laravel’s ORM conventions, and the ability to write ETL processes to move and transform data between schemas accurately.

Scope of Work:
Review and understand the existing MySQL schema and its relational design.

Create corresponding Laravel Eloquent models, including relationships, casts, timestamps, and proper field/property configurations.

Build ETL scripts/processes to migrate and clean data for the new ORM structure.

Generate Laravel migration files as necessary (no seeder files required).

Ensure data integrity and performance optimization during and after migration.

Deliver a well-documented codebase and migration strategy.

Requirements:
Proven experience with Laravel (Eloquent ORM) in production systems

Strong command of MySQL schema analysis and data modeling

Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines or scripts

Comfortable working with large and complex databases (300+ tables)

Ability to document work and communicate progress effectively

Nice to Have:
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization

Knowledge of normalization/denormalization principles

Deliverables:
A fully implemented Laravel ORM model layer

ETL logic/scripts to populate the new structure with existing data

Migration files for development repeatability (no seeder files required)

Documentation on the new ORM schema and data flow
