Design New SQL Server Database
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
This project centers on architecting a brand-new SQL Server database that will handle high-volume transactional data from day one. I already have the application requirements and data flows mapped out; what’s missing is a robust, well-normalized schema that scales smoothly and enforces data integrity without sacrificing performance.
Here’s what the finished work should cover:
• Conceptual and logical data models (ERD) based on my specifications
• A fully scripted physical schema in T-SQL—tables, primary/foreign keys, indexes, constraints, default values, and sequences where appropriate
• A transaction-friendly indexing strategy plus partitioning guidance if it becomes beneficial
• Sample stored procedures or parameterized queries that illustrate best-practice CRUD operations
• Brief documentation explaining design decisions, assumptions, and any future scaling considerations
You’re free to use SSMS, Azure Data Studio, or your preferred IDE, as long as the scripts run cleanly on SQL Server 2019 (or later). I’ll test the deliverables in a staging environment; acceptance is complete when all scripts execute without error and the design meets the documented requirements.
