Database for music lesson school
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
This is a serious inquiry, however, when we can move forward on this project depends on the cost of implementing the whole solution (computers etc...), and it may be determined by my boss (who has the final say) to hold off on this project until we financially recover from COVID. But we do want to move on this very soon, if possible, in a few weeks perhaps.
We are a group of about music teachers, and we teach one-on-one private lessons at a facility.
We want a program (a database I assume) where we can have our students listed according to the weekly lesson schedule so that wthe teacher can see at a glance what their student schedule is on any given day.
Each lesson needs to have a form to fill out and saved - with a place to fill in 'data fields' where the teacher will enter information about each lesson, for example, student's time of arrival, preparedness for lesson (0-10), behavior (0-10) progress (0-10) next week's assignment - "review pages 20-21 in the blue book - keep working on the Bach piece, for example".... we need to be able to modify these fields as the need arises. We are not coders, but we are tech savvy enough to follow instructions.
We also want a way for a teacher to reassign a student's lesson information to another teacher... (all on the same network) or allow access to other teacher's student base on the network - in case one teacher has to be gone that particular day.
We want to use an open source database software such as MongoDB - a document based nonrelational database.
We just need to be able to look up students by name, and also look up specific lesson dates and times, and be able to pull up any previous lessons and see the lesson notes that the teacher entered for that week.
the icing on the cake would be for a way for the teachers to access their 'account' remotely, so they can check on their schedule etc...
Thanks - look forward to seeing what can be done.
