A database developer/consultant for designing, creating, implementing, and maintaining database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficient storage and retrieval. Key responsibilities include analyzing business needs to develop databases, writing SQL queries and stored procedures, optimizing database performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other teams like software engineers and analysts to support applications and business intelligence initiatives.
Knowledge of AWS Aurora RDS as well as knowledge about supporting codebases that utilize Entity Frameworks is beneficial.
This is a consulting position for a US company and will require availability in the evening hours.

Database Design and Development: Develop and implement efficient, well-organized database systems that meet specific organizational requirements.
Data Integrity and Security: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data by implementing safeguards and security protocols.
Performance Optimization: Tune database queries, create indexes, and perform other tasks to optimize database performance and ensure smooth operation.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing maintenance, update existing databases, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Data Storage and Retrieval: Manage the storage, retrieval, and manipulation of structured data for applications and internal operations.
Collaboration: Work with software engineers, data analysts, and administrators to align database infrastructure with application needs.
