CMS MySQL Schema Design

Job ID: 40057970

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

I’m building a new content-management system and want a clean, well-structured MySQL schema engineered from the ground up. The brief is limited to database design only—no optimization or migration work is needed at this stage.

The CMS will store core entities such as posts, pages, categories, users, roles, and whatever other tables you feel are necessary to keep the data normalized and future-proof. I’m open about the exact content types the system may handle later on, so please keep the structure flexible enough to add multimedia or user-generated modules without major refactoring.

What I need from you
• An ER diagram in PDF or PNG
• MySQL-compatible CREATE TABLE scripts with primary/foreign keys, indexes, and constraints clearly defined
• A short README explaining table purposes, relationships, and any decisions that deviate from standard third-normal form

Acceptance criteria
• Scripts run without errors on MySQL 8.x
• Sample INSERT statements demonstrate that basic CRUD operations work across the schema
• Naming conventions are consistent and intuitive

If this sounds like a straightforward task for you, let’s get started—happy to answer any clarifying questions right away.
