PostgreSQL and Kubernetes Administrator
We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL and Kubernetes administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of our PostgreSQL database environments running on Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases within a Kubernetes cluster environment
Automate the deployment and scaling of PostgreSQL database workloads using Kubernetes
Implement best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization of PostgreSQL on Kubernetes
Monitor and troubleshoot PostgreSQL and Kubernetes environments, addressing any issues that arise
Develop and document standard operating procedures for the management of PostgreSQL on Kubernetes
Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of PostgreSQL-based applications with the Kubernetes infrastructure
Stay up-to-date with the latest PostgreSQL and Kubernetes technologies, best practices, and security recommendations
Participate in on-call rotation to provide timely incident response and resolution
Required Skills and Experience:
3+ years of experience administering and managing PostgreSQL databases
Proficient in Kubernetes concepts, including deployment, scaling, networking, and storage management
Strong understanding of containerization and experience with Docker
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
