Need A Semantic Model & ontology for Domain Specific Problem -- 2
Budget: ₹400 – ₹750 INR
You are required as a group to select a domain of your choice and further solve a specific problem
within that domain. A set of Competency Questions are to be defined in order to scope the ontology
and to have a boundary for the level of granularity of the knowledge that need to be modelled in the
ontology. You can reuse existing ontologies but you need to specify this is the report and how you
have extended those existing ontologies to solve the problem you are working on.
The proposed ontology will be implemented using OWL language through Protégé framework that
we have introduces and practised in class. SPARQL or DL Query tab needs to be used to formalise
and validate the Competency Questions.
Use the Semantic Web Rules Language (SWRL) (check the slides Simple Reasoning OWL ART.pptx
which describes how to add SWRL Rules to your ontology) to enrich your ontology with reasoning and
recommendation capabilities. Use Pellet reasoned to test the SWRL rules and highlight the effect that
the SWRL rules have over the ontology.
