Task:
Fix my database problem to get my WP sites back online.
Context:
-I'm using WP for my websites.
-The configuration of my websites uses a shared server from OVH.
-I have an FTP and databases with several websites on it.
History:
I wanted to change the domain name of 1 WP site.
An access error to the database appeared when I tried to change the domain name of my website, via the WP admin of that website.
Result:
Now all my blogs are not visible anymore and I have the following error messages.
-On the URL of the homepage of the WP websites: “Error establishing a database connection”
-On the URL when I try to access the Admin of the WP websites : “Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at xxyyzz.mysql.db. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.”
