Project Proposal: Dynamic Staffing & Scheduling Integration
Project Overview
This project introduces a synchronized scheduling ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between Employer demand and Employee availability. The system allows Employers to generate multiple unique shift slots from a single requirement, provides real-time hour/budget calculations, and offers Employees a targeted marketplace to claim shifts that match their credentials.
Part 1: The Milestone Roadmap
Milestone 1: Facility & Staff Demand Architecture
-Employer Dashboard: Implementation of the core SCHEDULE tab.
-Facility Management: Capability to create and store multiple Facilities (e.g., "Atlantis Scan Center").
-Position Generator: Input fields for Position Name (e.g., MR1) and Staff Quantity
-Data Integrity: Logic to generate $X$ number of individual, trackable shift records in the database based on the quantity entered.
Milestone 2: Scheduling & Dynamic Calculations
-Individual Slot Scheduling: A UI allowing unique dates and times for each generated position.
-Total Hours Engine: Real-time calculation using the formula:
Total Hours = (End Time - Start Time) - Unpaid Breaks.
-Bulk Actions: "Apply to All" functionality for rapid scheduling of multiple slots.
-Publishing: A "Post" action that moves records from a draft state to the active marketplace.
Milestone 3: Targeted Marketplace & Visibility
-Employee Dashboard: Setup of the AVAILABLE SHIFTS sub-category.
-Smart Filtering: Employees only see shifts matching their specific Role/Job Title.
-Conflict Prevention: Logic to block Employees from viewing or claiming shifts that
overlap with their existing schedule.
-Shift Cards: Clean UI display of Facility name, Role, and precise Time Window.
Milestone 4: Fulfillment & Exception Handling
-Claiming Logic: One-click acceptance with instant status updates to prevent double-booking.
-Cancellation Workflow: Tools for Employers to cancel shifts or Employees to "release" them back to the pool with automated notifications.
-Employer Coverage View: A master calendar/list for Employers to track filled vs. unfilled slots at a glance.
