Database Migration Engineer (2 Hours Daily on Weekdays)

We are seeking a skilled Database Migration Specialist with expertise in database systems and SQL. As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and executing database migration projects. Your main tasks will include migrating data from legacy systems, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing database performance. You should have expert knowledge of database systems and be proficient in SQL.

Payment Cycle: 500$ Per month (~20 Work Days/40 Hours Per Month/2 Hrs Per Day)
Responsibilities:
- Perform data migration from legacy systems to new databases
- Ensure data integrity during the migration process
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data migration requirements
- Develop and execute test plans to validate data migration
- Document database migration processes and provide technical support to end-users
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of database systems (e.g., MS-SQL, SQL Server)
- Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization
- Knowledge of database systems, SQL languages, database scripting, management,
scheduling, optimization, integration tools.
- Identify the field level data mapping, taking the data from SQL Server and other data sources and
converting it.
- Designing, testing, and executing data conversion routines to migrate data from legacy databases
into the new database using ETL tools/methodologies. (ETL is Added Advantage; Not Mandatory)
- Creating meaningful executive-level reports and data dashboard solutions using tools like SQL
Server management Studio (SSMS), SSRS and Power BI. (SSRS and PowerBI is a Bonus)
- Expert in T-SQL, SQL Server, Data Conversion, Data Cleansing methodologies.
This is a medium-sized project with a duration of 4-12 + months.
We are looking for an intermediate-Expert level Database Migration Engineer who can work independently and deliver high-quality results.
