Must know Oracle, Linux and Unix, rest are preferred but not mandatory
Position Title - Senior Database Administrator
Mandatory Requirement • Extensive Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL installations and DB performance tuning
• Good understanding of physical and logical schemas
• Strong hands on experience as Oracle DBA on Oracle 11.
• Experience on Oracle 12c preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Unix platforms installation like CentOS, Red Hat Linux, Solaris, HP Unix and AIX; and performance tuning
• Hands on SQL queries, PL/SQL and shell scripting
Job Description • Backup/Restore of Databases Database RMAN backup and recovery (Extensive experience in Oracle Datapump)
• Good working knowledge in Linux and Hp-Unix environment.
• Responsible for volume management and cluster administration tasks.
• Accountable for administration of virtual servers and LDOMs.
• Strong hands on build DB, configuration, upgrade, Migration and patching
• OS and DB performance tuning and optimization of resource utilization
• System Performance Monitoring and Troubleshoot.
• Oracle database rollout and deployment.
• Go-live migration support and transition planning.
• Development support.
Desired Skills • Able to plan for Oracle Patches and install them
• Knowledge of ASM, Data guard desirable Good knowledge of Performance Tuning
• Provide support through 14 x 5, 24x 7 windows.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner, both verbally and written, and articulating the content depending on the audience
• Coordination with Operating System, Middleware and other teams to ensure build setup is completed
Education B.E/MCA/M.Sc
Certification Oracle Certification will be added advantage
Experience 4 to 6 years of Experience.
