AWS RDS MySQL Deployment
Budget: $499 – $500 USD
I’m rolling out a new production MySQL workload on AWS and want it running on RDS with rock-solid resilience. The primary goal is to stand up a writer in one region and fan out read replicas to additional regions so we gain both fail-over safety and low-latency reads for our distributed users.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Design and deploy the RDS MySQL architecture: one primary writer plus read replicas in at least two other AWS regions.
• Advise on the most cost-efficient yet performant instance class—feel free to compare db.t3.medium, db.m5.large, and db.r5.xlarge (or suggest better) once I share expected workload numbers.
• Configure subnet groups, security groups, automated backups, enhanced monitoring, and Performance Insights so the cluster is production ready on day one.
• Enable cross-region automated backups and make sure fail-over procedures are documented.
• Deliver either Terraform, CloudFormation, or clearly scripted AWS CLI steps along with a concise hand-over guide I can follow for future scaling.
I’ll provide account access, region preferences, and baseline traffic estimates as soon as we start. Let’s make this production cluster both bulletproof and easy to maintain.
