Windows Desktop Status Dashboard
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I maintain a single “mastersheet” (Excel) that tracks every project, milestone, date, and owner. I now need a Windows-only desktop application that turns that sheet into an at-a-glance status dashboard.
Core needs
• The app pulls data directly from the mastersheet (xlsx or csv) and refreshes on demand.
• It visualises key metrics—progress, schedule variance, budget burn, risk level—using clear graphs and charts (bar, line, pie, gauge; whatever best conveys the data).
• Filters must let me zoom in on a specific project, team, or date range without having to touch the raw file.
• A simple “last updated” indicator and the option to export any chart as an image or PDF would be very helpful.
Tech comfort zone
I am fine with .NET (WinForms/WPF), Electron, or a Python solution packaged with PyInstaller—choose whichever lets you deliver a smooth Windows experience that doesn’t require the user to install extra runtimes manually.
