Scope of Work: Hotel Forecast Dashboard (Python + Power BI)

Project Overview

We operate a portfolio of 12 hotels. Each hotel’s Revenue Manager is required to submit monthly forecasts by segment (e.g., Corporate, Leisure, Group, OTA). We need a dashboard system that:

• Collects forecasts twice per month
• Tracks forecast accuracy
• Visualizes performance across hotels


This project will combine Python (backend + automation) and Power BI (dashboard visualization).

Deliverables

1. Forecast Submission Portal (Python / Streamlit or Flask)

• Secure login for each hotel’s Revenue Manager
• Input form to submit forecast by segment for 3 months ahead
• Two submission windows:• Before 25th of each month: Initial forecast for next 3 months
• Before 15th of each month: Revised forecast for same 3 months

• Store submissions in a centralized database or Excel/Google Sheets


2. Automated Reminder System

• Email reminders sent to Revenue Managers:• On the 20th of each month (for initial forecast)
• On the 10th of each month (for revised forecast)

• Include personalized links to the submission portal


3. Forecast Accuracy Tracker (Admin Only)

• Compare:• First forecast vs Actual
• Second forecast vs Actual

• Calculate accuracy percentage by segment and hotel
• Accessible only to admin users


4. Power BI Dashboard

• Connect to the forecast database or Excel file
• Visualize:• Forecast vs Budget vs Actual by hotel and segment
• Accuracy trends over time
• Segment performance across hotels

• Filters for hotel, month, segment, and submission round
• Row-level security: Admins see full data; hotels see only their own

Technical Requirements

• Python (Streamlit or Flask)
• Power BI (Desktop + Service)
• Data storage: Excel, Google Sheets, or SQL (based on expert recommendation)
• Email automation (SMTP, Airflow, or other)
• Secure hosting (Streamlit Cloud, Heroku, or similar)
