Multi-user MS Access Coding Audit App

Project Overview
The objective of this project is to design and implement a tailored, multi-user MS Access application. This system will enable administrators to assign coding audit tasks to multiple users, facilitating the independent submission of their findings. All data will be consolidated within the platform, allowing administrators to efficiently review submissions, record quality assurance results, share audit outcomes between medical coders as appropriate, and generate reports that automatically identify discrepancies among user inputs.
Scope of Work & Milestones
Proceed with the following three-milestone development plan to ensure quality and efficiency.
Milestone 1: Application Foundation & Form Design This foundational phase focuses on building the core structure and the primary user interfaces.
• Deliverables:
o All necessary database tables to securely store audit data, user information, and lookup lists (CPT/ICD-10 codes, error types).
o A secure login form.
o A main data entry form for coders to input their findings.
o Administrator and Coder dashboard screens for easy navigation.
o A specialized QA Review form for the administrator.
Milestone 2: Data Visualization & Reporting With the foundation in place, developer will immediately build the reporting tools to ensure the application provides the critical insights needed.
• Deliverables:
o The primary Discrepancy Analysis Report to compare submissions for a single case side-by-side.
o A Coder Performance Report to track accuracy and trends over time.
o A clean, printable Audit Detail Report for individual finalized audits.
Milestone 3: Centralization & Multi-User Deployment Once the full application is built and tested, it will be deployed to the team.
• Deliverables:
o The database will be split into a secure central Backend (data) and a user Frontend (application).
o Setup and configuration for multi-user access on your shared network/SharePoint.
o Implementation of user-specific permissions to ensure coders only see their assigned work.
