Interactive Excel Sales Dashboard
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I have a single sales sheet that contains every invoice we raise. I need you to turn that raw data into a clean, interactive dashboard built entirely in Microsoft Excel. The end product should let me filter and explore results quickly while clearly surfacing the metrics I care about:
• Total Sales value
• Paid vs Unpaid status at a glance
• Total count of invoices
• Year-over-year sales trends
• Performance by branch, customer, and customer group
My own sketch of the layout exists, but it still feels rough, so I’d like your recommendations on layout, colour choices, and the best way to arrange slicers or drop-downs for quick filtering.
The workbook must remain refresh-friendly—ideally I should be able to paste new rows into the source sheet and see the visuals update automatically through Pivot Tables, dynamic ranges, or Power Query if necessary. Please keep formulas transparent and avoid hard-coding anything that would break after new data loads. Conditional formatting to highlight overdue or unpaid items would be a plus.
When you hand it over I’ll test it on my side; as long as I can filter by year, branch, and customer without the charts or KPIs breaking, I’ll consider the job done. Feel free to suggest any extra visual that makes sense once you see the data.
