Live Coaching hands-on session - Excel Power Query Dashboard Creation Training
Budget: $50 – $0 AUD
I export survey results from a 95 question survey from Alchemer. The data can be exported as CSV or Excel and then run everything through Power Query. I have already taken the data part-way—filters, basic transformations and some formulas are in place—but I want a sharper, faster workflow. In particular I need help refining the data-cleaning and transformation steps in Power Query and then shaping the output into a fully customisable dashboard that can update automatically when fresh Excel exports land in the folder. to remove a lot of the manual manipulation that I'm currently doing. I need to filter out free text response questions and then with the data remaining, each of the questions I'm reporting on use a 5 point scale and from there I have custom formulas to give me an overall average score for each question and then I also create a % detracting, % neutral and % enabling total for each question. I then map each question using a seperate excel file that contains all my questions and the different dimensions that are required to be calculated so I can report on these values.
You’d be working with someone who already understands INDEX/XMATCH, dynamic arrays and pivot charts, so we can dive straight into advanced topics: best-practice query structure, efficient M-code tweaks, staging tables, and clever tricks for reusable measures or custom formulas that will drive the final report layout.
My timeline is ASAP, so I’d like to jump on a live screen-share session soon—ideally this week—to walk through my existing workbook, discuss pain points and map out the optimal approach. To make sure the lessons stick, I’d value a concise follow-up file or notes summarising each step we covered.
Deliverables:
• One or more real-time coaching sessions (video/screen-share) focused on data cleaning, transformation and dashboard design
• A cleaned, well-structured Excel/Power Query template using my Alchemer export as the data source
• Brief written recap or annotated workbook highlighting the key formulas, queries and refresh steps
