Excel-Driven BI Dashboard Creation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Title:
Build an Interactive Multi-Store Power BI Dashboard from CSV Data
Project Overview:
I have a set of CSV/Excel files that track tasks and milestones for multiple coffee-store openings (each file contains columns such as Item, Responsible, Tracking #, Status, ETA Date, Notes, and a Store identifier, etc ).
I need a freelancer to design and deliver a professional, modern Power BI report that lets regional managers and leadership:
View the overall progress of all stores combined.
Drill down to individual store performance and individual tasks.
Monitor KPIs such as total tasks, completed tasks, in-progress tasks, overdue tasks, and critical issues.
Filter or slice by store, responsible person, task status, and date range.
See key visuals such as store comparison charts, progress donuts, task tables with conditional formatting, and interactive filters.
Data Source:
One or more CSV/Excel files that will continue to grow as new stores are added.
The final dashboard must support easy refresh when the data file is updated.
Deliverables:
Power BI Desktop (.pbix) report with:
Clean, well-modeled dataset (Power Query transformations as needed).
Modern, branded theme (dark or light with company colors).
KPIs, bar/column charts, donut or pie charts, interactive tables, and slicers.
Drill-down to individual store view and task details.
Instructions / short document explaining:
How to refresh the dataset when new CSVs are provided.
How to publish to the Power BI Service and set up scheduled refresh.
Required Skills
Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
Data modeling, DAX measures, relationships
Power Query for cleaning and combining multiple CSV files
Data Visualization & Dashboard Design
Modern, responsive report design
Conditional formatting and advanced visuals (donut charts, KPIs, custom visuals if needed)
Data Integration
Experience combining multiple similar CSV/Excel files into one model (folder connector or incremental refresh)
(Nice to have) SharePoint / OneDrive Integration
So the final report can refresh automatically from a shared location
Strong communication—clear documentation and hand-off
