Excel-Based Project Management Tool
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’d like a streamlined project-management workbook built in Microsoft Excel that my team can open and start using immediately—no add-ins or macros that require special permissions. The core of the file should revolve around three connected sheets:
• Meeting log – columns for Meeting Name, Objective, Date & Time, Attendees, Key Notes, Agreed Next Steps and an automatic link to any action items you record in the activity sheet.
• Ongoing activities – a prioritized task tracker where every line carries a clear deadline, owner, current status, and a dropdown for Priority (High / Medium / Low). Conditional formatting should flag overdue items and visually separate each priority level.
• Summary dashboard – an at-a-glance hub driven by interactive visual elements: slicers or form controls to filter by priority or status, dynamic charts that show work In Progress vs. Done, and a heat-map or traffic-light view of upcoming deadlines.
I need formulas and named ranges set up so we can add rows without breaking anything, plus simple instructions inside the file (or a brief PDF) describing how to refresh the dashboard, add new priorities, and expand data validation lists. No VBA is necessary unless you believe a lightweight, well-commented macro adds clear value and stays compatible with Office 365 desktop & web.
Deliverable: a polished .xlsx template populated with a few sample rows so we can see every feature working before we import real data.
