Database Search Strategy Evaluation Report C T & R

Job ID: 40314632

Budget: $10 – $30 AUD

I need a critical evaluation of the databases I rely on when searching for journal articles, together with a clear, practical report structure that can be used in future literature reviews. The work centres on three elements:

1. Search strategy assessment – demonstrate how you test current keyword strings, subject headings, filters and Boolean logic, then show where they succeed or miss potential literature.
2. Database resource evaluation – compare the coverage, indexing depth, update frequency and export options of each database I already use, highlighting any strengths, gaps or overlap that could affect evidence quality.
3. Reporting framework – provide a concise template (headings, tables, recommended visuals) so subsequent reviews can present the search process transparently and reproducibly.

Please ground every observation in verifiable data (screen-captures, metrics, or citation counts) so I can quickly justify future database selections to reviewers or stakeholders.

Deliverables
• A written report (Word or PDF) that follows the proposed template and includes the full comparative analysis.
• An appendix with the exact search strings, limits and dates tested.
• A one-page summary of actionable recommendations.

Acceptance criteria
• All databases evaluated against the same criteria.
• Search strategy replicable by a third party using only the information supplied.
• Report free from plagiarism and fully referenced.C
