COSMO-RS Thesis Guidance Needed

Job ID: 39992468

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

My master’s thesis relies heavily on COSMO-RS, and I want to make sure every simulation, plot, and conclusion is rock-solid. I have my input files ready and can run basic jobs, but I need an experienced computational chemist to work alongside me to:

• fine-tune and, where necessary, rerun COSMO-RS simulations so they reflect best practice
• turn raw σ-profiles and activity-coefficient data into clear graphical representations and comparative analyses that will stand up to committee scrutiny
• help me interpret unexpected trends or outliers so the scientific story is coherent
• shape the Conclusion and Discussion chapter so it ties results, theory, and literature together convincingly

We can screen-share while stepping through COSMOtherm (or your preferred workflow), examine log files, tweak parameters, and discuss the thermodynamic meaning of what we see

By the end of the collaboration I expect:

1. A documented, reproducible simulation protocol
2. Publication-quality plots and comparison tables
3. A well-argued, data-driven conclusion section with clear explanations of COSMO-RS results

If you have recent experience publishing or supervising work that used COSMO-RS, that’s a plus. Let me know your availability for weekly calls and how you prefer to exchange input/output files.

(This is for a masters thesis so you should be experienced)
